At KONE Croatia, we are looking for an HR Operations Specialist to support key HR administrative and payroll processes across Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and North Macedonia. This role is focused on delivering accurate, timely, and compliant HR operations in close cooperation with external payroll providers and regional stakeholders.
You will play an important role in ensuring smooth monthly payroll processing, maintaining high-quality HR data, and supporting essential employee lifecycle administration across the region.
What You’ll Do
✔️ Prepare and consolidate monthly payroll input for multiple countries
✔️ Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
✔️ Support payroll-related reporting, tax submissions, and statutory declarations
✔️ Maintain and update employee data in HR systems (e.g. Workday)
✔️ Support onboarding and offboarding administration in line with global processes
✔️ Manage HR documentation and employee records with high accuracy
✔️ Ensure compliance with local labor law and internal HR policies
✔️ Support benefits administration and HR data integrity across countries
✔️ Assist with routine HR reporting and audit requests
✔️ Collaborate with HR and Finance stakeholders across the region
What We’re Looking For
✅ 2–5 years of experience in HR operations, payroll administration, or HR administration
✅ Solid understanding of payroll processes and HR compliance
✅ Experience with HR systems (Workday or similar is an advantage)
✅ Knowledge of labor law is an advantage, especially in multi-country environments
✅ Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
✅ Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data handling
✅ Strong organizational and coordination skills
✅ Fluent in Croatian and English; additional regional languages are an advantage
✅ Structured, reliable, and comfortable working with confidential information
