Role Summary:

The Generalist, People Business Partner will support the Technology People Business Partner team at Saks Global. This position will play a critical role on executing on  People team initiatives and provide exceptional HR support for the business. 


Role Description:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all employees within the Technology organization for any general people related questions/topics

  • Assist on all people team related programs and processes  throughout the year including but not limited to: training programs, performance reviews, talent calibrations, promotions, etc

  • Own and manage all HRIS  transactions, processes, and documentation for all employee lifecycle events, including salary, reporting structure, position changes and internal mobility 

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, planning and execution independently  

  • Manage and track  the Leave of Absence process in partnership with the Benefits team

  • Support the People Business Partners to support employee relations matters (ie investigations and performance management)

  • Audit and liaise with cross functional teams to manage general reporting and data requests 

  • Analyze various HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement 

  • Provide recommendations as it relates to various People Processes and Policies 

  • Participate in and support ad-hoc reports and projects as needed


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources/people team related function

  • Previous experience within a retail/e-commerce/technology industry is a plus 

  • Previous experience working  technology leaders and teams strongly preferred 

  • High proficiency in GSuite and MS Office 

  • Proficient in HRIS and ATS (ie Workday)

  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize and multitask

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills with the capability and desire to work within a collaborative team, and possess an interest to grow into other People related roles

  • Ability to communicate  verbal and written information effectively
