Job Summary
This role is expected to play a significant part in the payroll unit and is expected to support the Payroll Manager in the day-to-day activities. The incumbent will also be expected to work and contribute to Reward and other HR projects.The job is responsible to direct and handle people-related enquires around payroll to ensure that payroll activities are executed accurately and timeously.
Support the accurate delivery of the payroll core administrative activities.
Act as 2nd support to the payroll manager whenever they are not available.
Ensure data quality within key operating systems for the processing of payroll (maker)
Support the efforts in improving the quality of data to the main operating system (Workday) and the feed into the payroll (VIP)
Support reward analytics and people insights
Supporting management information and reporting on people data
Support the implementation of measurement for various metrics require for the people strategy
Job Description
Key accountabilities
Check and validate batch load from Workday to VIP
Capture payroll amendments to the system
Run Payroll Variance Report
Share cost centre report to business
Send Payroll variance report and input file to Payroll Manager
Run Teradata and monthly IRD
Provide payroll costing reports to business as and when required
Complete all post payroll activities end to end process
Complete Payroll Checklist
Submit Payroll Checklist to Payroll Manager for sign-off
Provide monthly reports to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that the payroll parity exercise is duly completed and aligned to process and governance;
Reconciliation of HR suspense accounts
Prepare monthly Paye and contributions return
Asist in the preparation of Statement of Emolument & ROA
Assist in all ‘after monthly payroll tasks processing’ namely raise entries to process pension, directors’ fees,
Raise entries for posting of travel grant amortisation
Raise entries for out of payroll payment.

Regularly generate the various report to indicate progress against the key measure of success
Support in the monthly FTE reconciliation and submission of MI to the various stakeholders.
