About the role
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our Greetz team in the Netherlands. This is a pivotal role that blends HR operations, legal compliance, and employee experience — with the autonomy to shape how we do things locally while staying connected to our wider Group People team.
You’ll be the go-to People expert in the Netherlands, supporting everything from payroll and policies to employee relations and culture. You’ll ensure our ways of working reflect both local employment law and Greetz values — helping us create a supportive, engaging workplace for our people.

What you'll be Doing:
- Manage payroll in partnership with external providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with Dutch law and Greetz culture
- Lead day-to-day People operations: onboarding, contracts, benefits, support, offboarding
- Advise managers and employees on HR queries, employee relations, and local employment law
- Flag and action necessary changes to Group-wide policies for local compliance
- Partner with the wider People team to support People Plans impacting the Dutch workforce
- Oversee benefits utilisation, supplier management, and day-to-day admin
- Continuously improve our People processes to drive efficiency and clarity
- Manage People systems and reporting, ensuring accurate data and useful insights
About You:
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
- HBO or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
- Solid experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, ideally in an international or digital environment
- Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment law and Works Council requirements
- Skilled in balancing autonomy with collaboration — you’re comfortable working solo and across teams
- Confident communicator with a practical, people-first mindset
- Proven track record managing payroll and ensuring compliance
- Sharp eye for detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Adaptable and organised — you know how to prioritise in a fast-moving environment

- Stage 2: Interview with People Director and Head of People Operations – 45 mins
- Stage 3: Interview with Head of Legal – 30 mins
- Site Visit: Meet the NL Team – 30 mins
