People Advisor - Johannesburg

As Paymentology continues to scale globally, consistency, judgement, and disciplined people decision-making are critical. We are looking for a People Advisor who can operate with confidence across regions, providing commercially aligned, risk-aware guidance to leaders while strengthening leadership capability and employee experience. 

This role sits within Global People Advisory, providing strategic, commercially aligned guidance to leaders across multiple regions. Partnering closely with Director and VP-level stakeholders, you will advise on complex people matters, balancing business objectives, employment law principles, and a consistent global Paymentology experience. 

This is an Individual contributor role focused on judgement, governance, employee experience improvement, and risk mitigation.

• 4–6+ years’ HR advisory experience in multi-jurisdictional environments  
• Strong experience managing recurring and moderately complex employee relations matters. 
• Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders with credibility. 
• Working knowledge of employment law principles applied pragmatically. 
• Strong commercial judgement and risk assessment capability. 
• Cultural intelligence and experience operating across regions. 
• High emotional intelligence, mediation, and conflict resolution skills. 
• Strong analytical and communication skills. 
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience).
