ACT Team - Peer Specialist
Full Time -- Days -- Mon -Fri
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, located in Harrison NY, is seeking a Peer Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This program provides mobile, individualized, recovery-oriented treatment to adults with mental illness in southern Westchester. As a person with lived experience, the Peer Specialist serves as a role-model and teaches clients coping strategies and self-help resources, focused on supporting recovery goals.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Participate in a multidiscipline team.
- Act as a role-model, using lived experience to support clients' wellness and recovery goals.
- Provide direct services to ACT clients in the community, in collaboration with the multidiscipline team.
- Document services in the medical record as required.
Qualified candidates will have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as basic computer skills. NYS Peer Certification is preferred, completion of a Peer Specialist training program is required. A valid driver's license is required.
Pay rate: 35 -- 40k
