Job Description:

Kennebec Pediatrics, a thriving, well-established practice of MaineGeneral Medical Center, is seeking a board certified or board eligible Pediatrician to join their collegial team, meeting patients' medical needs through compassionate, respectful and professional care.

Join a team of eight physicians at Kennebec Pediatrics along with a full complement of nursing and support staff in an outpatient setting, providing comprehensive medical care from infancy to young adulthood.

Highlights of the position include

  • Schedule consists of 32 clinical hours and the benefit of 8 hours of scheduled, dedicated administrative time 

  • No evening clinic hours

  • No inpatient pediatric, Emergency Department or newborn nursery coverage.

  • Call rotation consists of 1 in 8 weekends. 

  • After-hours on call service that begins at 4:50 pm – 7:45 am on weekdays, weekend call service begins at 2:00 pm to 9:00 am.

  • Third year medical students from UNE rotate through the practices.

  • Opportunity to also work per diem as a pediatric hospitalist if desired, although not required.
