Children’s Mercy Hospital is an urban freestanding children’s hospital with full pediatric medical/surgical support. Our faculty provides two distinct types of clinical service here:

  • 24/7 direct care on a hospitalist- team comprised of medically complex and diverse general pediatric patients.  Fellows, residents on elective, and medical students may be part of the team.
  • Attending supervision of teaching teams of fellows, residents, and students. The supervision of teaching teams is restricted to PHM board certified/board eligible pediatric hospitalists.

Children’s Mercy Kansas is a unique, freestanding community children’s hospital located 12 miles southwest of Children’s Mercy Hospital. The hospital serves a breadth of pediatric diagnoses with lower acuity than our main campus. Clinical service on this campus offers a complementary clinical experience, featuring a professionally stimulating, direct interaction with pediatric professionals in our busy on-site pediatric emergency department as well as in our community referral area.

Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
