Requires board eligibility or certification, pediatric ophthalmology fellowship training, medical licensure, hospital privileges, and BNDD and DEA certificates.

Provides diagnostic pediatric radiology services across all aspects of pediatric imaging, with opportunities for subspecialty focus. Responsibilities include interpreting studies, teaching residents and pediatric radiology fellows, participating in an academic clinical environment, and potentially pursuing research. The role supports autonomous pediatric imaging practice with access to subspecialty teleradiology expertise and includes an academic appointment through UMKC School of Medicine.

Provides pediatric hematology care for patients with sickle cell disease, hemoglobinopathies, bleeding and clotting disorders, and other hematological diagnoses. Participates in clinical, research, educational, administrative, and mentoring activities. Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary staff while contributing to clinical trials, program development, and leadership within the hematology program.

Provides developmental-behavioral pediatric clinical care for children with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, learning disorders, genetic abnormalities, and behavioral disorders. Teaches residents and fellows, participates in multidisciplinary care, scholarly activities, and administrative responsibilities. Requires a medical degree, residency or fellowship, board eligibility or certification, state licensure, hospital privileges, and BNDD and DEA certificates.

Provides specialized pediatric hepatology and intestinal failure care, including pre- and post-transplant management, diagnostics, and procedures. Helps launch and develop a new intestinal transplant program, teaches medical learners and fellows, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and participates in clinical, translational, or outcomes research and scholarly publication.

Provides specialized clinical care for newborns across Level II–III neonatal intensive care units and a regional Level IV NICU. Responsibilities include high-risk delivery attendance, management of premature and transitional conditions, care for infants with birth anomalies and complex conditions, and participation in clinical follow-up, education, scholarly activities, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Provides inpatient care for pediatric patients in a tertiary children’s hospital and community hospital setting. Responsibilities include direct care of medically complex and general pediatric patients, supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students, participation in clinical education, quality improvement, performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and medical informatics initiatives. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills, professionalism, team-based care, effective communication, and commitment to inclusion and patient-centered service.

Provides clinical genomic testing and interpretation for rare pediatric diseases. Responsibilities include interpreting and reporting panel, exome, short-read genome, long-read genome, and other molecular test results; developing and validating tests; supporting product launches, process improvement, and clinical research; consulting with physicians; monitoring quality assurance; and educating trainees and staff.

Provides clinical and surgical pediatric otolaryngology care focused on otology, hearing loss, cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease, balance disorders, and lateral skull base surgery. Teaches residents and fellows, contributes to the Comprehensive Otology and Hearing Program, and may participate in research, fellowship development, and academic initiatives.

Provide pediatric surgical pathology sign-out and autopsy services at a tertiary children’s hospital. The pathologist will collaborate with clinical and research teams, contribute to education and scholarly activities, and may focus on gastrointestinal, renal, or transplant pathology. Candidates must hold or be eligible for board certification and maintain unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical licenses.

Provide pediatric nephrology care within a nationally recognized children's hospital program, including outpatient specialty clinics, end-stage kidney disease, home hemodialysis, acute kidney injury, transplantation, and transition to adult nephrology. The role also offers opportunities to participate in fellowship education, basic, translational, and clinical research, and collaborative multidisciplinary care. Academic rank will be Assistant or Associate Professor, with compensation based on experience.

Provides pediatric surgical pathology sign-out and autopsy services at a tertiary children’s hospital. Collaborates with clinical sections and research laboratories, contributes to pathology education and scholarly activities, and may support gastrointestinal, renal, or transplant pathology. Requires board certification or eligibility in anatomic pathology or related pathology disciplines and eligibility for unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical licenses.

Provides primarily inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology hospitalist care during nights and weekends. Participates in clinical, research, quality improvement, education, resident and fellow mentoring, patient advocacy, and professional development within hematology, oncology, or bone marrow transplantation services.

Provides pediatric psychological care across outpatient and inpatient settings, including consultations, assessments, evidence-based interventions, multidisciplinary care, and specialty programs. Teaches in pediatric medical and psychology training programs and participates in research, service, quality improvement, and scholarly activities. Requires a doctoral degree in clinical or pediatric psychology, APA-accredited training, and eligibility for psychology licensure in Missouri and Kansas.

Provides clinical care to neonates in a Level III NICU at Mercy Springfield Hospital. Responsibilities include educating physicians, students, and allied health professionals; participating in scholarly and quality improvement activities; and supporting administrative and fiscal initiatives. Candidates must be board certified or eligible, hold a medical degree and residency/fellowship training, and maintain required hospital privileges, state licensure, BNDD, and DEA certifications.

Provides outpatient and inpatient dermatologic care for infants, children, and adolescents; participates in multidisciplinary specialty clinics, performs laser and excisional procedures, and contributes to clinical research. Educates pediatric dermatology fellows, residents, and medical students while collaborating with multiple pediatric subspecialties. Applicants must be board eligible or certified in dermatology, fellowship-trained in pediatric dermatology, and committed to compassionate, inclusive patient care.

Provide inpatient clinical care to infants and children with congenital, acquired, or complex cardiovascular conditions on a dedicated Acute Care Cardiac team. Responsibilities include multidisciplinary rounds, collaboration with cardiology specialists and allied health professionals, and evening-focused coverage. Candidates must hold an MD or DO, be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics, and demonstrate experience or interest in pediatric cardiology. Final-year pediatric residency trainees may apply.

Provides pediatric electrophysiology care, including invasive and non-invasive procedures, catheter ablation, device implantation and management, arrhythmia consultations, remote monitoring, and EP call coverage. The role also offers opportunities for clinical and translational research, medical education, and adult congenital heart disease electrophysiology care. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology, have completed or be completing a fourth-year invasive pediatric electrophysiology fellowship, and qualify for licensure in Missouri and Kansas.

Provide comprehensive preventive cardiology care for children with dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis-related risk factors. Manage lifestyle interventions and lipid-modifying therapies, collaborate with nutritionists, exercise physiologists, and other subspecialists, and participate in teaching, curriculum development, quality improvement, advocacy, and clinical or outcomes research.
