Healthcare United is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a newly created position in East Central Illinois, targeting a January 2027 start. This opportunity features an outstanding block schedule of approximately 5 days on / 10 days off, providing exceptional work-life balance while delivering inpatient pediatric care within a supportive regional health system with an active emergency department and newborn service.

- Provide inpatient care for pediatric patients from admission through discharge
- Attend deliveries and provide newborn resuscitation as needed (NRP required)
- Manage newborn nursery care and pediatric admissions from the emergency department
- Support emergency department pediatric consultations
- Coordinate care transitions with outpatient pediatricians and specialists
- Collaborate with nursing and ancillary teams on pediatric quality initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Deliver family-centered, quality-driven care
Requirements
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Eligible for or active Illinois medical license; January 2027 availability
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available
