What We OfferMajor Tasks:
1. PCT Discipline Leadership & Maintenance Strategy
-Act as the site PCT discipline lead, defining PCT standards, workflows, and governance.
-Lead maintenance technicians and engineers to define and continuously improve PCT maintenance strategies, ensuring long-term reliability and compliance.
2. Capability Building & Training Ownership
-Own the DCS and PCT training strategy, including onboarding, periodic re-training, and effectiveness evaluation.
-Ensure sustainable capability development of internal PCT resources and contractors.
3. Capital Investment & Continuous Improvement Leadership
-Lead PCT scope definition, execution strategy, and technical acceptance for site and APAC TPU capital investment projects and LSS initiatives.
-Act as the final technical authority for PCT-related decisions within approved project scope.
4. Plant Modification Governance
-Accountable for technical scope definition and acceptance of plant modifications from reliability, product quality, process control, and safety perspectives.
5. Documentation & Configuration Governance
-Accountable for maintaining and safeguarding as-built plant documentation, including control system configurations, safety-related documentation, and critical equipment PM/PdM compliance records.
6. Legal, Corporate & Engineering Compliance
-Ensure full compliance of all PCT installations with legal, corporate, and Covestro engineering standards, including EPDS requirements.
7. Technology Advancement & Best Practice Deployment
-Ensure safe and efficient PCT practices while driving technological advancement and digitalization, leveraging modern automation and control technologies.
8. Cross-functional & Regional Leadership
-Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Project Management, HSEQ, and Business Support to anticipate business needs and optimize utilization of production assets.
-Develop and maintain strong networks with PCT experts across Covestro TPU sites to enable experience exchange, standardization, and synergy identification.
9. APAC TPU Network Support
-Provide expert-level PCT support to APAC TPU sites for production issues, investment projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Functional Safety Leadership (APAC)
-Act as APAC TPU Functional Safety Expert, accountable for lifecycle management of functional safety on existing assets and new investments.
11. Machinery Safety Leadership (Site)
-Act as Local Machinery Safety Expert (LMSE), accountable for machinery safety compliance and continuous improvement at the site.
What You OfferQualifications:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
-Minimum 5 years relevant experience in industrial plant environments with strong PCT focus.
-Proven leadership of €5–10m capital projects with accountability for PCT scope, risk, and compliance.
-Deep expertise in DCS, PLC, HMI/SCADA, instrumentation, functional safety, and machinery safety.
-Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop technical capability in a matrix organization.
-Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
-Fluent spoken and written English.
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
