AB Private Credit Investors (“AB-PCI”) is the private corporate credit investing platform of AB primarily offering direct lending capabilities to middle-market companies across various industry sectors. AB-PCI focuses on directly sourced and privately negotiated investments in the primary issue market, while selectively pursuing opportunities in the distributed and secondary loan markets on a relative value basis. AB-PCI pursues a flexible mandate designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns by investing in unitranche, first lien and second lien debt as well as selectively structured preferred stock and private equity co-investments. Target companies typically have robust business models, strong competitive positions, sustainable enterprise value and predictable cash flow profiles. The group maintains a strong credit culture and pursues a highly selective investment process based on fundamental due diligence and a focus on transaction terms and documentation.

What You'll Do:

AB-PCI is looking for a professional to join AB-PCI’s Financial Reporting Team which focuses on Performance, Fund Accounting and Investor/Fund Reporting, working in partnership with AB-PCI’s COO, portfolio management / valuation and middle office teams as well as AB’s Financial Control Team (“FC”), business development and product development teams.  This new role will support the growing business and team. AB-PCI has grown significantly over recent years and high caliber talent is needed to help support continued business growth, improve processes and scale operations. The role will provide exposure to all aspects of performance, Fund accounting, and reporting while providing opportunity for growth as the team continues to grow and take on more responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement advanced data models, automated workflows, and reporting tools to enhance Fund Financials review, Performance, and Reporting processes

  • Translate complex data insights into clear and concise reports, providing analytics guidance to ensure Quality Controls align with key business objectives

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as IRR, cash flow metrics, yield, and NAV movements to drive informed decision-making

  • Generate near-term revenue and return forecasts for management and investors, complete with detailed commentary and drivers analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and validate data sources, ensuring the timely and accurate development of data sets

  • Support the Business Development team with Fund and investor reporting, leveraging data analytics to drive strategic insights

  • Lead automation and process improvement projects related to Fund investor reporting, PnL explain and forecasting, and performance reporting

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or a related quantitative field

  • 8+ years of professional experience preferably in Analytics and data Strategy within a Financial Institution

  • Proven experience with PowerBI, Snowflake, sigma or other data visualization and reporting tool

  • Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis and automation

  • Experience in the middle market loan / private alternatives industry preferable

  • Microsoft Office application proficiency (advanced Excel skills a plus)

  • Ability to effectively prioritize to work and adapt in a fast and challenging environment where priorities can change daily

  • Team oriented – works collaboratively with teammates and other AB teams, exhibiting a one firm mindset

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness
