Job Summary

General Purpose:

Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability (dfx study)

· Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production

· Oversee new process equipment production

· Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters

· Trouble shoot process related issues

· Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements

· Evaluate and select various engineered materials

· Implement statistical process reviews on new and existing products

· Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.

· Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.

· Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities

· Develop and maintain process documentation

· Review processing methods

· Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer

· Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer

· Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.

· Manage cost improvement/reduction programs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.

Typically requires 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area

Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
