Job Description

Position Summary:

You will have the main objective to localize and lead the execution of our strategy for the ETO (Engineering To Order) business (Medium Voltage Drives - MVD and Motor Control Centers - MCC) in Latin America for the Power Control Business, reporting to the Regional Business Director for Intelligent Devices. It performs the interface between the global leadership of the Power Control Business (PCB) in the Intelligent Devices (ITD) segment and the Sales organization in different countries in Latin America.

A team of sales specialists, commercial leads and product specialists reports directly to this position. In addition to the direct reports, in country business segment managers assigned to ITD will receive direct guidance and functional leadership from this position.

An essential aspect of this position is to be the primary point of accountability on the business performance of MVB and MCC offered in the region. It functions as the first point of escalation for any business issues impacting the Business Units in its scope. It must impact future product development and commercial positioning of the portfolio.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Single point of contact for in country Sales Managers and Business Leaders back into the ETO Power Control Business Units on all strategic commercial issues.
  • Responsible for removing internal obstacles and leading the organization to identify paths forward on critical business growth opportunities.
  • Lead the identification and development of new partners for the ETO business in Latin America.
  • Accelerate the business performance through the collaboration with distributors on commercial planning and execution.
  • Participate in countries' critical issues resolution.
  • Work with Regional and Global Marketing to identify and prioritize market segments and growth opportunities through knowledge of customer needs, market trends, channel partner characteristics, codes & certification requirements and external environmental trends.
  • Help define the overall marketing approach for products or segment specific initiatives and ensure alignment between Business Unit and Country leadership objectives.
  • Analyze program and product sales results, drive price/profitability results towards regional goals, monitor bookings and pipeline opportunities and drive program revisions to improve results.

The Essentials – You will Have:

  • BSC Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Broad skill set, minimum of five (5) years business development / sales and/or marketing experience in the automation field, necessarily in the Latin America region.
  • Five (5) years of actual application experience in applying power systems resulting in a thorough understanding of applications is desired. Technology degree or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • The role requires great knowledge of the industrial automation market in the region. The candidate must understand the key macroeconomic drivers behind the business.
  • The position requires the ability to interact across all levels of the company.
  • Leadership is a critical requirement considering the direct reporting line and the indirect line to the Business leaders in country.
