Role
We are seeking a PBX Operator / Reservations colleague to join our team at Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah. This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests from the initial enquiry through to departure. The position reports to the Front Office Manager and involves close coordination with
multiple departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Responsibilities
• Answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally, typically within three rings.
• Determine the nature of enquiries, route calls appropriately, and limit hold times to under 30 seconds.
• Maintain awareness of community events and activities to offer informed recommendations.
• Communicate guest needs clearly and efficiently with relevant departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Experience, and Security.
• Log guest feedback and ensure proper follow-up on complaints or concerns.
• Coordinate room changes and guest movements in collaboration with Housekeeping and the Bell team.
• Monitor and support guest itineraries and activity schedules.
• Maintain accurate guest records, including preferences and profiles, in Opera and other systems.
• Provide timely wake-up calls as requested and track guest needs throughout the stay.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation and contribute to a positive hotel image.
Requirements
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
• Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Culturally sensitive with a collaborative and respectful approach.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
