Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment? Egan Company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Champlin, MN. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing full-cycle weekly union payroll and reporting for various Egan business groups. This is a flexible, hybrid position allowing you to work a blend of in the office and at home.

Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process weekly union payroll
  • Prepare monthly union benefit reporting
  • Weekly certified payroll reporting
  • Monthly utilization reporting
  • Prevailing wage reporting and compliance
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Conduct the payroll portion of new field leader orientations
  • Employee setup
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year college degree in Accounting is preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with high-volume in-house, full cycle, multi-state payroll is required
  • 2-5 years experience in a related industry (Construction or Manufacturing) is preferred, but not required
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is preferred
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Previous certified payroll experience
  • Proficiency in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize/organize daily workload
  • Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired

Pay Range: $30.28-$35.10 per hour (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
