The Payroll Specialist performs payroll-related functions, including payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, automated timekeeping systems and payroll reporting in a multi-site, multi-state, high-volume environment. The Payroll Specialist provides excellent customer service to managers and associates and is well versed in payroll compliance, taxes and reporting.

Job Details

Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $65,000.00-$78,500.00

Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.

Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

% of Time

Reviews and inputs pay data manually and via electronic imports into payroll software. Ensures required authorizations are obtained for payroll processing functions. Completes and posts payroll- 20%

Prints and distributes payroll-related information. Performs all phases of the payroll processing cycle to include master payroll balancing, payroll tax reconciliations and required reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Reconciles assigned accounts- 20%

Analyzes and evaluates payroll reports, trends, and related services. Assists associates, timekeepers and supervisors with database training payroll issues and requests for payroll information on a regular basis. Researches and resolves payroll issues/discrepancies and processes necessary corrections-20%

Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, payroll program trends, and prevailing best practices. Complies with the regulatory standards and the company’s internal policies and procedures for payroll. Keeps abreast of the company’s services, system and software changes, and changes in wage and tax law-20%

Identifies current or potential problems with reports, analyzes the impact to financial data, and proposes solutions. Executes all terms and conditions as set forth in the Towne Park Associate Handbook and standard operating procedures. Maintains strict confidentiality related to associate information- 20%
