ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Central Payroll team. The Specialist will support our efforts to process payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and fee-for-service employees. The role requires comfort around nuance and change with a complex environment.
COMPENSATION: $26.60 - 31.30/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer the successful processing of the bi-weekly and monthly, multi-state payroll for 10,000+ employees
-
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with LifeStance policies and in accordance with all federal/state/local regulations

Process payroll level data for new hires, employee status changes, and terminations
-
Research and resolve payroll related inquiries in a timely matter

Calculate and process payroll adjustments as required

Develop appropriate SOP’s and Job-Aids
-
Assist Internal Audit with periodic audits of various payroll controls to ensure compliance with SOX
-
Help facilitate payroll processes with newly acquired practices as they integrate into LifeStance

Other payroll operational projects and duties as assigned

Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions/updates as needed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or a similar field of study preferred
-
5+ years of multi-state and multi-entity payroll administration experience
-
Detailed knowledge of full payroll process including taxes, deductions, benefits, 401k, and federal/state regulations
-
Experience in healthcare industry preferred
-
Demonstrate strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, macros)

Strong knowledge of payroll systems, including full cycle payroll processing in Workday required

Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) experience required

Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred

Proven analytics and problem-solving skills; ability to create adhoc reports from payroll system

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required

Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
