The Opportunity
Based out of Oslo, Norway, we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support the payroll function for employees in the 4 Norwegian commercial and manufacturing Abbott entities. You will act independently as a payroll function and report directly to Finance. The role will include close cooperation with Payroll colleagues in other countries to develop and improve the payroll function across EMEA West. In addition to monthly payroll related tasks, you will also work with simplifications and standardizations of payroll related processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare the monthly payroll, including backup documentation and reconciliations.
- Be updated on payroll related legislation.
- Function as the main point of contact for payroll related matters from employees.
- Support payroll reviews, as part of internal and external audits.
- Update master data in the payroll system.
- Maintain employee data in the pension portal.
- Provide ad hoc reports to HR, Shared Service Center etc.
- Administration of our Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Request refunds from NAV
- Send information to public authorities and trade unions.
- Check for completeness of supporting payroll documents.
- Improve the efficiency of payroll processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or another related field
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience.
- Good command of Excel.
- Experience with SAP and SD-Worx is a plus.
- Good knowledge in Norwegian payroll rules.
- Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language as well as English (written and verbal).
