Why this role is important to us
SimCorp is seeking a Payroll Senior Accountant to join our SE finance team and contribute to the continuing growth of business in Italy, France, Spain.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, the payroll Senior Accountant will be encouraged to understand the work of the entire department whilst also having overall responsibility for payroll matters. Payroll can be very complex given SimCorp international workforce, differing remuneration schemes and international tax liabilities. As such we are keen to speak with finance professionals with proven experience in the management/support of Payroll activities.
Our SE finance team is small, fun, personable and dynamic. We enjoy developing new skills and this role will provide the opportunity to expand into other areas of finance, taking on more responsibility and participate in additional training.
What you will be responsible for
As part of the Finance team, you will be responsible for processing payroll and all payroll-related matters. You will also be expected to assist with general accounting and finance administration. Your role will include:
Payroll:
- Processing payroll data for Italy, France, Spain (approx. 265 employees)
- All payroll-related specific benefits: bonus, commission, holiday, 13th month, RSUs, benefits
- Liaising with the outsourced payroll provider on any payroll queries
- Liaising with Deloitte on payroll tax matters relating to employees located overseas (e.g. A1 documents, STA, LTA, etc.)
- Standard payroll reporting
- All payroll-related journals and BS Reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of any tax returns payroll related
Service Delivery tasks:
- Manage Absence ensuring that approved requests are compliant with local requirements and first line support for employees and managers
- Responsible for ensuring that employee Time Off balances are correct
- Oversea administration of all employee benefits including insurances (e.g group insurances, pension insurances, hospitality insurances, Worklife benefits etc)
- Enroll/remove new hires/terminated employees in insurance and benefits (including eligible dependent/s)
- Fleet management
What we value (our requirements)
- Experience with processing a full payroll
- Experience of working within an accounts team
- Tax experience for employees working locally and overseas
- Experience of working with accounting systems, ideally WorkDay
- Ability to work with confidential/sensitive data
- High attention to detail, high level of accuracy
- Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Minimum of intermediate level in Excel (eg. pivot tables, V-lookups)
- Fluent in English with proven communication skills both verbal and written (French is an asset)
- Ability to fit into the Finance team as well as the wider Company
Desirable:
- Payroll background
- Experience of working with other Microsoft Office tools
- Accounting background
