Main Responsibilities:
- 1. End-to-End Payroll Ownership
- Process & Coordinate: Manage the full monthly global payroll cycle across over 30 countries, coordinating all necessary data (new hires, terminations, compensation changes, time-off) with our HR teams.
- Advisor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for international payroll advisors, submitting validated data and managing the ongoing relationship and compliance requirements.
- Quality Control:Critically review and audit all payroll outputs (gross-to-net calculations, payment reports) from advisors to ensure absolute accuracy, reasonableness, and compliance with local statutory requirements before final approval.
- 2. Financial & Compliance Accountability
- Accounting Entries: Prepare, post, and reconcile all multi-currency payroll journal entries into the company’s General Ledger system.
- Reconciliations: Own and perform timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll liability accounts (e.g., tax withholdings, social security, pension contributions).
- Remittances & Audits: Oversee the timely instruction and confirmation of all government and third-party remittances. Provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits.
- 3. Growth & Process Improvement
- Document and maintain clear, standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the global payroll function to ensure scalability as the company expands.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing and executing multi-country payroll, with a strong background working with international payroll advisory firms.
- Technical Expertise: Strong fundamental knowledge of payroll accounting, including G/L posting, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and experience working with an enterprise HRIS/financial system (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Global Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of the basic concepts of international tax and social security across various jurisdictions.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, highly analytical, proactive problem-solver, and excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for a global environment.
