Job Responsibilities:

To support payroll operations for several Magna locations in Germany within a centralized Shared Service Center environment, we are looking for an engaged and experienced Payroll Specialist (m/f/x) to join our team in Untergruppenbach, Germany, or Belgrade, Serbia at the earliest possible date.

Your Responsibilities
•  Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including all pre- and post-payroll activities
•  Maintain and update employee master data in SAP HCM
•  Review and resolve payroll tax and social security related matters
•  Support Global Mobility payroll activities and coordinate payroll processing in cooperation with external tax advisors
•  Communicate with authorities, tax offices, social security institutions, and other external stakeholders
•  Handle electronic reporting requirements, including EEL procedures and statutory payroll reporting
•  Prepare certificates, confirmations, and regular HR reports
•  Work closely with local HR teams of our internal business partners and serve as an interface to local finance departments
•  Support internal and external audits, including payroll tax and social security audits
•  Contribute to payroll-related projects and process improvement initiatives
•  Continuously optimize payroll processes and ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements

Your Qualifications
•  Completed commercial education, business administration degree, or comparable qualification
•  Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in payroll administration
•  Strong customer focus, reliability, and sense of accountability
•  Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style
•  Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications
•  Fundamental understanding of German payroll legislation, including wage tax, social security, sick pay, maternity protection, occupational pension schemes, and collective bargaining agreements (particularly IG Metall), as well as the administration of tariff-related compensation components, is highly desirable.
•  Experience working in an international environment or supporting cross-border payroll processes is beneficial
•  Experience with SAP HCM Payroll (PY) or other payroll systems; Workday experience is considered an advantageStrong MS Office skills
•  Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (required)
•  German language skills are considered a strong advantage
•  Strong MS Office skills 

Special Note for Candidates in Serbia
This role supports the payroll administration of employees in Germany as part of a centralized international Shared Service Center. Therefore, an interest in German payroll processes and willingness to develop expertise in German payroll, tax, and social security regulations is essential. Training and knowledge transfer will be provided where required.
