Job Description:
We are hiring a Payroll Manager to play a pivotal role in managing and processing global payroll. This is a fantastic remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US while collaborating closely with the finance, accounting, and HR teams to drive payroll excellence across multiple countries.
As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for 700+ employees in the US, along with supporting international payrolls for Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica. Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of US payroll for 700+ employees, ensuring that wages, commissions, bonuses, taxes, benefit deductions, and other items are correctly processed via internal HCM systems and external vendors.

Global Payroll Oversight: Supervise a Sr. Payroll Analyst to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for our international teams in Canada, Brazil, and Costa Rica.

Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with tax regulations across multiple countries and states, ensuring proper payroll tax reconciliation and year-end tax statement preparation for each jurisdiction.

Accounting & Reconciliation: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and provide supporting documentation during month-end close, including payroll and benefit accruals and adjustments.

Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot payroll processing and system issues, working with global teams to quickly identify and resolve any challenges.

Tax Filings & Funding: Manage quarterly and annual tax filings in partnership with external vendors, and calculate and communicate ACH funding for payroll-related payments.

Collaboration & Communication: Partner with HR, legal, and finance teams to stay updated on the latest payroll regulations, and ensure clear communication of payroll calendars, policies, and processes to managers and employees.

Process Improvement: Foster a continuous improvement mindset by recommending and implementing process improvements that streamline payroll and timekeeping operations, enhancing efficiency and transparency.

Customer Service: Provide high-level support and customer service to all employees, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their payroll information and resolving any inquiries.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.

Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required.

Experience: 10+ years of domestic and international payroll processing experience, with a strong understanding of payroll accounting and related journal entries.

Technical Skills: Experience with Workday required; CloudPay system experience preferred. Strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above).

Leadership: Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to work and lead effectively within a cross-functional, global team environment.

Payroll Knowledge: Extensive experience with payroll processing for both domestic and international teams, including knowledge of payroll for expats.

Problem-Solving & Time Management: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across borders, time zones, and departments (HR, accounting, finance).

Confidentiality & Professionalism: High regard for confidentiality and excellent professional judgment in handling sensitive payroll information.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
Salary range $90k - 140k
