This position is located in Appleton, WI.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise the payroll team in processing bi-weekly and weekly payroll cycles for employees across multiple states and divisions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, including withholding, reporting, and remittance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multi-state tax legislation, including changes in tax rates, reciprocal agreements, and nexus rules.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee records and seamless payroll operations.
- Manage year-end processes, including W-2 preparation, tax reconciliations, and filings.
- Resolve complex payroll and tax issues, providing guidance and support to team members and employees.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of payroll software and systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Prepare and review payroll reports for management, highlighting trends and potential compliance risks.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Expertise in multi-state payroll tax compliance and regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive employee issues with discretion.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
