Work closely with the Payroll Supervisor to manage the daily activities of the Department and employee productivity. Responsibilities include processing payroll, training new hires, problem resolution, and suggesting best practices on department procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process US payroll for designated clients and serve as backup for payroll processors
- Train new employees and clients on payroll procedures, software, company practices, policies and procedures
- Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes
- Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures
- Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee payroll records
- Work with AP and taxes to process current year voids
- Address payroll related queries and requests
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions
- Follow and enforce federal, state and local laws
- Participate in hiring process
- Thorough understanding of client PTO configuration and rules to ensure system is functioning appropriately and PTO is used and tracked properly
- Review client data for accuracy, prior to import to ensure file is not rejected
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Three to five years of payroll experience
- 2+ years of PEO, ASO, multi-site or multi-state payroll experience
- Experience with Prism and HR Pyramid preferred
