About the Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to support core human resources and payroll functions that ensure exceptional employee experience, compliance, and operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our people operations run smoothly by managing payroll processing, HR systems, employee programs, and compliance reporting.

You will be at the intersection of HR, Finance, and IT systems—owning the integrity of employee data, executing seamless payroll, and supporting the administration of key HR programs including tuition reimbursement, hardship loans, and vendor invoicing. You will directly impact PartsSource’s ability to scale effectively while maintaining a culture of trust, transparency, and service.

Payroll Administration

  • Administer end-to-end biweekly payroll processing using Paylocity, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain and audit payroll records, including garnishments, taxes, and employee deductions.
  • Support payroll-related compliance reporting and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local wage regulations.
  • Coordinate payroll adjustments, bonuses, and off-cycle checks.

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain employee data in Paylocity including hires, terminations, organizational changes, and job codes.
  • Act as HR systems administrator, ensuring clean data, process automation, and reporting reliability.
  • System configuration maintenance and system optimization
  • Support cross-functional reporting needs including headcount, turnover, and compensation analysis.
  • Conduct routine audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity

HR Operations & Employee Programs

  • Administer tuition reimbursement program including intake, documentation review, and reimbursement processing.
  • Manage hardship loan program track approvals, repayments, and compliance.
  • Generate payroll and benefit invoices, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payments and reconciliation.
  • Support open enrollment and benefit operations, including employee communication and system updates.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, HR programs, and policies with accuracy and empathy.
  • Assist with HR policy documentation, process mapping, and compliance audits.
  • Provide logistical and operational support for onboarding and offboarding as need
  • Other HR Operational duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Your Background

  • 3+ years of payroll and HR operations experience; strong preference for proficiency in Paylocity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and employment compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Paylocity, ADP, Lattice, or BambooHR.
  • Advanced Excel skills and formulas and comfort working with data reports and reconciliations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; highly attentive to detail.
