About The Role
The Payroll Data Analyst is responsible for managing the conversion of client data from various payroll HRIS or record-keeping systems into Corebridge Financials’ proprietary systems. The Lead Data Analyst must utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with the Payroll Specialist and Analyst to ensure team members are completing projects in accordance with the team’s policies, procedures and best practices.
The Lead will research, analyze and recommend data conversion strategies for complex payroll projects by completing plan analysis and partnering with the compliance team to ensure results are in line with plan provisions. The results of the plan analysis will be used to identify data deficiencies, define remediation of deficiencies and construct a statement of work that properly outlines the conversion process to reformat into Corebridge Financial data requirements and services provided to the plan sponsor.
Responsibilities
- Lead training efforts to equip the team with the tools and skills necessary to complete projects with high quality and consistent on-time results.
- Partner with team leadership to develop and execute evaluation tools to identify the team’s strengths, areas for improvement and educational strategies to fill in knowledge gaps.
- Leverage business knowledge to document team procedures and data life cycle, including data sources, data definitions, the data's end purpose, and the technology impacts.
- Provide project leadership and oversight for payroll data conversions and coach/mentor others during the conversion.
- Serve as the liaison with our internal IT department by overseeing request to migrate payroll setups from Retirement Manager to SponsorFit, demonstrate subject matter expertise in establishing managed file transfers via SFTP connections and provide support to overcome technical roadblocks.
- Proactively partner with both internal and external clients to resolve challenges
- Perform data migration audits, reconciliation and exception reporting as necessary.
- Perform testing and quality control prior to implementation by identifying/reporting file errors to external clients
Skills and Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or possession of an active CEBS or ASPPA professional designation; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of directly related work experience
- High degree of independent judgment and discretion to effectively interpret and communicate the operation of retirement plans
- Effective consulting skills to influence decisions that will impact the implementation process
- Independently research problems and gather information
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify discrepancies in data integrity
- Communicate and implement solutions
- Assure resolution and client satisfaction
- Ability to identify and escalate items as needed to Managers
Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
