Job Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for verifying and processing payroll transactions, calculating and reviewing payroll information, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and analyzing payroll data to identify trends and areas for improvement. You will often collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and answer associate inquiries related to paychecks and deductions.

Your contributions will help ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, fostering trust and satisfaction within our workforce. Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions are calculated accurately and submitted on time.
- Manage and validate employee timekeeping records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with HR to manage and update payroll-related benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and voluntary deductions.
- Ensure accurate calculation and timely remittance of payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local income taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and other deductions.
- Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll information for new hires and manage terminations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Generate payroll-related reports for management, HR, and finance teams, providing actionable insights into labor costs and budgeting.
- Stay current on labor laws and regulations to ensure payroll processes are compliant and up-to-date.
- Address payroll inquiries professionally and promptly, delivering excellent service to resolve concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar role, with at least 5 years of payroll experience, including 1 year of Workday Payroll experience.
- Advanced knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping software; proficiency in MS Excel is required.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional accuracy in managing payroll data.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and flexible mindset.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to effectively answer payroll inquiries and collaborate with internal teams.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
