We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to join our HR team at our Wendell, NC location. This role offers full ownership of payroll and benefits operations across North America and the opportunity to make a direct impact in a global organization.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Ensuring accurate and timely weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll service providers, managing payroll controls, tax filings, SOX compliance, audits, and regulatory updates
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of U.S. and Canada health and welfare benefits programs, including annual renewals and open enrollment
  • Manage benefits vendors, HRIS data, weekly file feeds, and benefits invoicing while ensuring compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Support benefits integration and implementation activities related to acquisitions and newly acquired entities
  • Administer retirement programs, including 401(k), non-qualified deferred compensation, and defined benefit plans, ensuring compliance, audits, testing, and timely funding
  • Partner with recordkeepers and payroll vendors to resolve employee inquiries and maintain high service levels
  • Prepare and report monthly headcount data to Global HR and support regulatory reporting and special projects (e.g., ACA, Form 5500)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing corporate, multi-state payroll and benefits programs in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Proven experience leading payroll or benefits implementations and system changes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, with strong data analysis and budgeting capability.
  • Experience working across multiple payroll and HRIS systems; UKG experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for virtual and in-person presentations.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
