POSITION
The individual will join Bain Capital, LP in Boston as part of an established Payroll team. This position will be responsible for entering and processing payroll for over 1,000 US employees both exempt and non-exempt. They will record items in the general ledger, reconcile payroll accounts monthly and assist the Finance and Human Resources teams with ad hoc projects as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process multi-state bi-weekly payrolls using ADP
Communicate with ADP on any payroll issues
Prepare manual off-cycle payments
Enter general ledgers and reconcile payroll journal entries in Workday
Manage miscellaneous items for payrolls, including fringe benefits and deductions
Maintain employee 401k elections
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Respond to employee payroll related questions and issues
Assist with payroll and corporate annual audits
Assist with payroll related projects for HR and finance teams
Perform ad hoc tasks as required
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of payroll experience
Experience with ADP, preferably WorkForce Now
Experience with Workday
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to operate in a complex, fast paced, multi-business unit environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting
Compensation:
Expected Annual Base Salary $70,000 – 80,000
Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
