Payroll Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Assistant to join our People & Culture team of six. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on experience managing payroll in Greece and a solid understanding of Greek labor and social security regulations. You will assist in processing payroll accurately and on time, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and internal policies.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Assistant, you will:

• Assist in preparing and processing monthly payroll for employees in Greece.
• Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll components.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in the HR/payroll system.
• Ensure compliance with Greek labor laws, social security contributions, and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams (HR, Finance) to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing reports for management, auditors, and authorities as required.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.

To be successful in this role as a Payroll Assistant, you should have:

• 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing in Greece.
• Familiarity with Greek labor law, social security, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• English language proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
