About the Department
Our Payroll team manages payroll duties for assigned Asian countries (excluding India), including processing and validating data before submission to providers, and auditing reports, pay slips, and final outputs. We handle payroll-related inquiries, assist with procedural updates, implement and test new processes and systems, and serve as the main contact for employees and stakeholders. Joining us offers exposure and opportunities to develop expertise in international payroll practices and system enhancements.
How You Will Add Value?Core Responsibilities:
Analyze, audit, and validate HR data (hires, terminations, transfers, pay/deductions) before submitting to payroll vendors in required formats.
Handle secondary payroll tasks such as final calculations, stop payments, third-party payments, and manage employee share investment program.
Review vendor-produced payroll outputs for accuracy.
Prepare pre-authorization documents for internal review and approval.
Support year-end audit, tax preparation, and reporting.
Assist with shadow payroll administration for international assignees.
Prepare journal entries and work with accounting on variance analysis and queries.
Record and reconcile employee deductions (e.g., Employee Stock Investment Plan contributions).
Address payroll-related inquiries from internal/external stakeholders; escalate complex issues as needed.
Provide backup for other payroll team members when required.
Track and review absence records, calculate related payments, and prepare accruals.
Participate in ad-hoc projects, including new business unit setups and procedural documentation.
Develop and test new payroll procedures and system enhancements.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting or related field)
Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in complex, multi-site, international organizations
Recognized Payroll Qualification advantageous
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of statutory payroll legislation across Asia
Experience managing payroll for multiple countries preferred
Proficiency in payroll software; familiarity with Accounting and HR systems a plus
Broad experience in payroll, including working with external providers
Experience in journal creation, account analysis, and payroll reconciliation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and intermediate Excel
Fluent English; additional languages advantageous
Soft Skills :
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and align solutions with organizational objectives
Excellent customer service skills and proactive issue resolution
