Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Process complex payroll transactions accurately and timely.
  • Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Review employee payroll records for changes to ensure compliance with payroll regulations. 
  • Assist in financial reporting by preparing and distributing payroll reports as needed. 
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  • Collaborate with payroll team and other departments to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
  • Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing payroll-related documentation for audits.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other payroll related tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and move from task to task seamlessly.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma required.

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION:

  • 4-5 years experience in payroll processing. 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Professional setting
  • Continuous sitting
  • Continuous oral & written communication and listening skills.
  • Continuous computer use
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, lifting, pulling & pushing up to 10 pounds.
  • Job requires a high level of mental awareness.

PRIMARY LOCATION:

  • Lafayette, LA : Corporate Office

Pay Range:

42,784.00 - 58,816.00 USD annually

This range represents the anticipated base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
