Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliant payroll processing for subsidiaries. The day-to-day execution of complex payroll tasks will include, but are not limited to payroll maintenance, support for time, payroll processing, managing tax for multiple jurisdictions and serving as the liaison between TINA and subsidiaries.
Essential Position Duties
· Responsible for on-time and accurate exempt and non-exempt payroll processing for various payroll frequencies and locations throughout the United States in compliance with federal, state and local laws.
o Enter all payroll maintenance into the system each pay period as provided by subsidiary companies.
o Oversee timekeeping process in conjunction with subsidiary process for time.
o Review the audit reports and verify calculations on the payroll preview to ensure accurate processing.
o Ensure payroll is processed compliantly in regards federal, state, local law and company policy.
o Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-processing issues.
o Responsible for handling payroll inquiries from subsidiary HR personnel or Associates.
o Assist the accounting department with General Ledger inquiries or balancing issues.
o Respond to tax notices timely.
o Setup new tax jurisdictions as required.
o Process off cycle checks for special pay runs.
o Administer and manage employee garnishments utilizing ADP Full Garnishment Services, ensuring accurate setup, processing, and compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
· Complete daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting per departmental requirements.
· Exercise discretion in situations where the policy may not specifically address the unique situation and ensure compliance to company guidelines.
· Participate in short-term and long-term company planning activities making recommendation for strategic HR items in the Hoshin process.
· Provide support for merger and acquisition activity as necessary.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related business field.
· Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
· Experience using an HRIS system is preferred (ADP Lyric is the current system of record). Ability to learn to effectively utilize this system is critical.
· Strong preference given to those with 5 – 10 years of previous payroll processing experience.
· Must be able to proactively identify problems and take steps to solve issues and updated processes as needed.
· Initiative to take on new projects, learn new systems, and keep apprised of changing regulations.
· Strong technical skills required Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (emphasis on Excel – formulas, charting, pivot tables).
· Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and practices.
· Must have the ability to exercise judgment and make sound decisions quickly while interpreting the company policies.

Travel
Travel within North America may be required up to 10%, or as needed. Ability to drive safely and valid driver’s license required.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related business field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
- 5-10 years payroll processing experience
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Lyric preferred) or ability to learn quickly
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charting)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot payroll processing issues and exercise sound judgment
- Initiative to take on new projects and adapt processes
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% in North America
- Experience administering employee garnishments (ADP Full Garnishment Services) or willingness to manage garnishments
