Job Purpose
Advius is seeking a
detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our client's HR
department in Pretoria East. The successful candidate will be responsible for
accurate and timeous processing of payroll, management of time and attendance
data, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and
on time, from data collection through to final payslips
- Capture and reconcile time and
attendance records (clock-in/clock-out data, leave, overtime)
- Maintain accurate employee payroll
records and update changes (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments,
banking details)
- Calculate and process statutory
deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and third-party payments
- Prepare and submit statutory returns
(EMP201, EMP501, UI-19, etc.)
- Reconcile payroll reports against
general ledger and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to employee payroll queries
professionally and confidentially
- Assist with payroll audits and provide
documentation as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all
payroll and employee information
- Support the HR department with general
administrative duties as needed
Requirements
Key Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential; a relevant
qualification in Payroll, Finance, or HR advantageous
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a
payroll administration role
- Must reside in or around Pretoria-East
- Proven experience with time and
attendance systems
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel
- Solid understanding of South African
payroll legislation (BCEA, PAYE, UIF, SDL) preferred
- Experience with payroll software
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention
to detail
- Excellent organisational and
time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet
strict monthly deadlines
- High level of integrity and discretion
with confidential information
- Own, reliable transport preferred
