Our company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) payroll team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be an integral part of our CEE payroll team, which consists of seven dedicated professionals reporting to the CEE Payroll Manager. Your primary responsibility will be managing outsourced payroll processes for multiple countries, each with its unique complexities and requirements. This role demands a high level of accuracy, compliance, and strong communication skills to effectively liaise with payroll providers, internal business partners, revenue authorities, and other third parties.
What you’ll be doing
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll activities for Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, and Ukraine. Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within set deadlines.
- Complex Business Needs: Understand the diverse and complex business requirements and manage these through third-party providers.
- Payroll Input Preparation: Prepare payroll inputs to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Review and Validation: Review and validate payroll outputs prepared by providers against the approved payroll inputs.
- Query Processing: Monitor and process payroll-related queries through ServiceNow, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
The skills & experience you’ll need as Payroll Administrator
- European Payroll Experience: Previous experience in European payroll is essential. Experience with German payroll is particularly beneficial as 50% of your responsibilities will involve managing payroll for Germany.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including payroll providers, internal teams, and external authorities.
- Prioritization and Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel and familiar with payroll applications and systems. Experience with ADP and Workday is advantageous.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German is required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of EMEA payroll experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
