Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day payroll and accounting operations of our organization. This position is primarily responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently while also assisting with a variety of accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll from start to finish, including timecard review, payroll adjustments, and final payroll submission
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and company policies
- Maintain payroll records, employee earnings and deduction information, and employee data within payroll systems
- Coordinate payroll-related reporting and tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Respond to employee and management payroll questions and assist with issue resolution in a professional and timely manner
- Enter payroll and financial data into accounting systems accurately and efficiently
- Assist with invoice processing, deposits, vendor setup for ACH/EFT payments, and general payment processing activities
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts, bank accounts, and company credit cards
- Provide backup support for accounts payable, banking functions, and other accounting duties as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and financial information
- Assist with special projects and additional administrative or accounting responsibilities as assigned
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM.

Starting pay: $24.00 per hour. Higher starting rates may be considered based on relevant experience, certifications, and qualifications.
