Payroll Accountant (Remote)

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Finance team. This role will process US and international payrolls, as well as assist with month-end close and other accounting tasks. The Payroll Accountant will work cross-functionally with Accounting and HR.

What You Will Do:

• Manage and process US, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland and UK payrolls

• Maintain proper employment & banking details in relevant systems

• Coordinate with the payroll provider to resolve payroll-related tax notices

• Register withholding and unemployment insurance accounts in new US jurisdictions as required

• Communicate payroll matters with employees and contractors

• Record journal entries for payroll-related cash transactions

• Prepare payroll-related accruals and balance sheet reconciliations for 5 legal entities as part of monthly close

• Resolve payroll tickets related to payroll matters

• Support the Accounting Manager and the Finance Team with projects and analyses as required

Your Experience:

• 2-5 years of related experience processing payroll

• Payroll experience in the United States

• Knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation and internal controls

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

• Superior oral and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently

• MS Office (Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• SAAS-based solutions experience with Paylocity, HiBob, and Intacct

• Payroll experience in Ireland, Germany, India, Canada and the UK
