As a Vice President, Product Manager on the Payments Value-Added Services Platform team, you will own a core product area within our Value-Added Services portfolio, which includes network tokenization, account updater, acquirer tokenization, and consumer profiles. These capabilities simplify credential management and improve authorization performance for clients. You will make real decisions on products that run in production and support material transaction volume today – refining APIs, strengthening client onboarding, driving authorization uplift, and running incident response.
In parallel, you will partner with the product team and stakeholders across the organization to shape and deliver our next-generation payment credential platform, designed for simpler integration, self-service onboarding, and measurable client outcomes. It will serve as a long-term foundation for JPMorganChase merchant payments, and you will be at the center of defining it.
You will partner with product teams across the organization, engineering, our card network partners, compliance, sales and relationship managers, and clients directly. This is both an operate-and-scale role and a build-the-next-generation role.
In your first year, you will take ownership of your product area's roadmap and delivery, and lead a major workstream of the next-generation platform through delivery.
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a defined product area within the Payments VAS portfolio, spanning in-market products and next-generation platform build
- Operate in-market tokenization and credential-management products – APIs, client onboarding, operational cadence, incident response, and continuous improvement for existing and new clients
- Partner with senior product leadership on shaping the next-generation payment credential platform and lead one of its delivery workstreams
- Define and ship RESTful APIs, webhooks, event streams, and SDKs that enterprise merchants and internal product teams build on; make developer experience a first-class product outcome
- Collaborate with engineering team on technical architecture, acceptance criteria, release planning, production readiness, and incident postmortems – representing the voice of the client in platform decisions
- Partner with card networks on tokenization standards and program requirements
- Drive measurable business outcomes (e.g. authorization performance uplift, token conversion rate, payment cost outcomes) and tie product decisions to those outcomes with data
- Communicate progress, priorities, and trade-offs to senior leadership through portfolio steering, executive readouts, and client-facing business reviews
- 5+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building or operating payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure products
- Hands-on experience building and operating API-first products at scale: RESTful APIs, webhooks, async event streams, versioning strategy, backward compatibility, and developer-facing documentation
- Experience shipping platform products that other teams, external developers, or clients integrate with
- Proven ability to lead technical product decisions in direct partnership with engineering teams; comfort reading and shaping technical designs
- Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional partners (engineering, risk, compliance, sales, operations) in a matrix organization
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills; comfortable with data analysis, SQL, dashboards, and interpreting production telemetry
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience presenting to executive audiences and representing a product perspective in cross-functional forums
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Some Travel Required
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Deep working knowledge of card payments – authorization, clearing, settlement, dispute flows, token lifecycle, and PCI data handling
- Experience working with payment integrators, payment orchestration services, or payment credential vault providers, whether as a user, partner, or builder
- Working knowledge of industry tokenization standards and the regulatory landscape governing card payments and consumer payment data
- Experience with large enterprise merchant, payment facilitator, or marketplace integrations
