The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Systems Administrator to serve as the primary operational liaison between our sales, operations, product, and engineering teams. This role is critical to ensuring that our payments workflows and back-office systems run smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the business. You’ll play a central role in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system and data issues - while also improving processes and system configurations across our merchant lifecycle infrastructure.
This is a highly cross-functional role that requires a strong foundation in payments systems, workflow configuration, data analysis, and business operations. You’ll thrive here if you’re a proactive problem-solver who loves diving into systems and streamlining complexity.
What You’ll Do:

●    Operational Point of Contact: Act as the go-to person for internal teams to resolve issues related to merchant onboarding, account hierarchy, and data discrepancies.
●    Workflow Troubleshooting: Investigate, document, and resolve technical and process-related issues within merchant management systems.
●    Configuration Management: Administer system configurations, including dropdown fields, user access rights, and form versions across platforms used for merchant management.
●    Bulk Data Management: Maintain and operate tools used for large-scale merchant data imports and updates.
●    System Integrations: Support and improve integrations between our payment processor partners (e.g., TSYS, Elavon, Global), our internal platforms, and external tools like Salesforce.
●    Partner Versioning: Manage updates and version control for merchant application forms, including variations required by partners.
●    Reporting and Data Tools: Assist in extracting and analyzing data to support operational decision-making and monitor system health.
What You Bring:

  • Workflow & Systems Expertise:
    • Proven experience managing operational workflows and business systems (e.g., CRMs, onboarding portals, or internal ops tools).
    • Strong understanding of system administration principles, including configuration, user management, and process setup.
  • Data Analysis & Tools:
    • Proficiency in Excel and SQL for data validation and reporting.
    • Experience with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
    • Familiarity with data extraction tools or APIs is a plus.
  • Payments Industry Experience:
    • Previous experience with ISO or merchant acquiring platforms (e.g., TSYS, Fiserv, Elavon, Global) is highly preferred.
    • Alternatively, strong experience in a financial services or fintech environment with operational systems exposure.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with teams in operations, sales, product, and engineering.
    • Comfortable communicating technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high-growth payments or fintech company.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce administration or hierarchy structures.
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into systems requirements and improvements.
