A well-established and growing venture capital and investment group based in Larnaca is looking to recruit a detail-oriented and motivated Payments Officer to join their in-house Payments Department. The company supports a diverse portfolio of ventures across finance, fintech, hospitality, real estate, and professional services, and is known for delivering operational excellence and long-term business support.

Description

The Payments Officer will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of domestic and international payment transactions, supporting reconciliation and compliance procedures, and assisting with internal and external financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong attention to detail and prior experience in a similar financial role, ideally within the banking or services sector.

Responsibilities
  • Process daily payment transactions including local and international fund transfers
  • Ensure payment accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain and organise detailed records of all transactions
  • Investigate and follow up on payment issues with internal teams and banking partners
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce payment errors
  • Respond to payment-related queries from clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a payments or finance-related role
  • Familiarity with international payment systems and currency management is an asset
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Greek
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Benefits
  • Salary: €18,000 – €20,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Working hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:15 (45-minute break)
  • Friday: 08:30 – 17:00 (30-minute break)
  • Complimentary lunch provided twice per week (Tuesdays & Fridays)
