Financial Data Analytics will be a vital resource within Vertical Accounting at Careem, supporting management in key automation and analytics initiatives to enhance financial processes and decision-making. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a strong analytical mindset, a passion for financial data analytics, and the ability to leverage automation to drive efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
What You'll Do
- Analyze financial variances with business teams and report any exceptions.
- Collaborate with the accounting team for month-end book closure and reporting.
- Review operations and recommend productivity improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Communicate financial results and insights to management, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Work closely with business teams to automate reconciliation and recording processes.
- Prepare and support daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
- Conduct data analytics for ad-hoc performance deep dives.
- Analyze financial and operational results to improve the understanding of company performance.
- Utilize BI tools (Tableau, SQL, Google Sheets) to generate actionable insights that drive business performance.
- Continuously identify and eliminate repetitive tasks through automation, allowing the team to focus on high-value initiatives.
What You'll Need
- Education: B.Com, BBA, or BSc in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in finance and accounting with a focus on data analytics.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in BI tools and scripting languages such as Python.
- Automation Mindset: A strong inclination toward eliminating manual, repetitive tasks through automation and continuously improving efficiency.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to solve complex financial problems and extract meaningful insights from data.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of business and financial performance drivers.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
