As an Analytics Solutions Manager on the Digital & Design Domain Services team, you will analyze and exhibit domain expertise in data modeling, report development, data integration/transformation, and Business Intelligence industry best practices. Your role is pivotal in driving data-driven analysis and automated reporting shape group strategy, assess opportunities, and measure progress against key objectives. This role is a mix of data science, consulting (problem solving, thought leadership, client management), and product management across the development and implement lifecycle for product analytics solutions. Overall, this role presents an opportunity to apply analytics and strategy skills to a broad range of challenges, learn about financial services lines of business and products (e.g., payments, banking, and digital), gain exposure to cutting edge technologies (e.g. Python, Snowflake, Streamlit, and Tableau) and methods, and communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders and leadership audiences.
Job responsibilities
- Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed.
- Conduct analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Brainstorm innovative ways to use our unique data to answer business problems.
- Extract and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help our clients and derive relevant insights.
- Develop visualizations to make your complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.
- Organize and manage multiple projects with diverse cross-functional stakeholders at once.
- Spearhead exploration efforts of new business intelligence tools to assess their potential for future use and modeling within the Digital & Design product groups (i.e. LLM DBC).
- Manage an extensive book of work for BAU and project work. Collaborate and build lasting intelligent solutions. Extract data from various database platforms.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
- Deep understanding of the financial services or Payments industry
- Experience analyzing large data sets using programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and/or Spark and experience using data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn)
- Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata, Cognos/BO, SAS/R
- Experience using machine learning techniques and advanced analytics (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, time series, causal inference, and natural language processing)
- Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, analysis from diverse, complex data sources
- Ability to work autonomously while providing regular status updates and meeting objectives
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and teamwork skills
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline; MBA or other Masters’ degree preferred
