Location: 

Hybrid: Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.

Summary/Objective: 

The Payment Services Associate is responsible for assisting leadership to ensure all job duties within Operations Payment Services team are sufficiently supported. Assists with improvements to operational procedures and processes to enhance the work environment and member experience.

Essential Functions Include: 

  • Proficient and highly knowledgeable with negotiable instruments, remote deposit capture, all ACH guidelines, and all incoming and outgoing Wire processing.
  • Highly knowledgeable with Federal Reserve processes including cash letter submissions, including share draft processes, deposit item returns and adjustments.
  • Ensures that all critical processing deadlines are met, and critical tasks are covered during high volume periods.
  • Highly proficient with general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assists in the training of new staff members as well as provides cross training for the Payment Services team.
  • Provides support to staff daily and responsible for coverage during employee time-off requests.
  • Provides knowledgeable support and testing capability on various core systems upgrades.
  • Assists management with the development and monitoring of Payment Services process and procedure work in all areas.
  • Reviews procedural changes, coordinates training efforts, and follows through to ensure completion.
  • Provides support and represents Payment Services in projects including department, strategic and corporate.
  • Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.
  • Processes all transactions accurately and within the prescribed time frame meeting Operations Service Level Agreement.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding regarding departmental procedures and applicable regulations for negotiable instruments and electronic funds transfer (EFT) with emphasis on Reg D, Reg CC, Reg E, BSA, and OFAC.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Equivalent to a two-year college degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or demonstrate experience within financial institutions.
  • Minimum two to four years of similar or related financial institution experience.

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience: 

  • Problem solves independently or with minimal assistance.
  • Advanced knowledge performing general ledger reconciliations.
  • Advanced understanding of NACHA rules and guidelines as it pertains to the ACH Network.
  • Ability to motivate, influence others and make decisions with minimal information. Must be self-motivated and detail orientated.
  • Attains the required certification applicable for the Payment Services team including, but not limited to ACH Network Certification, Check Processing and Check Adjustment certifications.

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full time / 40 hours per week

Compensation information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $22.07 and $27.58 per hour plus annual bonus. 

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Anticipated Application Window:
