Why Coda

Coda is a global growth engine for commerce. We bring together powerful capabilities that connect people, digital products, and payments through our suite of trusted digital monetization and distribution solutions.

We recently acquired Recharge, Europe’s leading prepaid payments and digital gift card business, bringing both companies together into one organisation with broader reach, deeper capabilities across B2B and B2C commerce and a stronger global footprint.

Today, we stand as a team of more than 600 people, representing 57 nationalities across 23 locations. We are headquartered in Singapore with offices in Amsterdam, Dubai, Shanghai and other hubs across Southeast Asia.

Our B2B business works with publishers and brands to support growth across markets. We run Codapay for local payment acceptance and Custom Commerce for direct-to-consumer webstores. We manage catalogue, prepaid and distribution services that extend reach globally, and we operate Giftcloud’s rewards and incentives capabilities. We take on the operational complexity around payments, tax and compliance so partners can scale with clarity and focus.

On the consumer side, we operate a portfolio of trusted storefronts including Codashop, Recharge.com , Startselect.com , mobiletopup.co.uk and other local sites that give customers secure and easy access to digital credit, game vouchers, gift cards and prepaid products.

Our people are at the heart of what we do. Coda’s culture is centered on respect, clarity, ownership, and collaboration. We work hard and play hard together.

If you’re looking for growth and impact in a fast-paced global team, Coda is the place for you.

About the role
The Payment Partnerships team at Coda manages partnerships with global and regional PSPs, payment aggregators, banks, e-wallets, telcos, and more; covering 400+ payment methods, powering several of Coda's core businesses and serving the global payment needs of 200M+ consumers, and 300+ global merchants and top tier digital content publishers such as Activision, Riot, Electronic Arts, Moonton, Tencent, and many more.

As a Payments Partnership Manager, you will own and grow strategic payment relationships across various key APAC markets. You’ll drive commercial and product initiatives with our key payment partners, ensuring Coda continues to offer the widest and most efficient local payment coverage in the region.

This role requires strong commercial and strategic acumen, local market and payments knowledge, cross-border and cross-functional stakeholder management, and a passion for fintech, gaming, and digital commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end partnership lifecycle for payment providers across assigned APAC markets, from sourcing and onboarding new partners to day-to-day relationship management of existing partners.
  • Maximize the value of our payment partnerships and negotiate the best terms (commercials, fees, FX rates, settlement terms, etc.).
  • Act as the main point of contact externally (representing Coda) with payment partners and internally (representing the partner/market when collaborating with different Coda teams).
  • Lead payment initiatives with existing partners or new partners to grow TPV, gross profits, payment coverage, improve performance, uptime and conversion, or reduce costs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Product, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Treasury, Ops, Support, etc.) to solve payments issues and unlock new payments opportunities for our global clients.
  • Stay ahead of local payment trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics in each market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or account management (APAC experience preferred), with a proven track record of negotiating, closing deals and retaining accounts.
  • Relevant experience in payments, fintech, or other relevant high-growth tech environments is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, data analysis, creative problem solving, and technical savvy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate clearly and effectively.
  • High sense of ownership, autonomy and self-motivation.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, embracing the unique qualities of every individual, regardless of gender, race, age, religion, disability, or other local protected classes. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Due to the large number of exceptional applications we receive, we can only reach out to shortlisted candidates.
