About the Role:

As a Payments Operations Specialist at Agora, you’ll gain hands-on experience in how money moves behind the scenes while owning key day-to-day operational responsibilities. You’ll support client onboarding, monitor payment flows, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure processes run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with regulations. This is a highly hands-on role with a clear path for growth into more strategic and client-facing responsibilities.

What your day would look like:

  • Support payment approvals, verifications, and checklist-based controls.
  • Monitor domestic and international transactions and flag anomalies.
  • Help process and verify payment approvals in line with policy and controls.
  • Act as the payments expert layer for Support and Customer Success teams.
  • Join client calls when operational clarification is needed.
  • Document payment issues and resolutions clearly.
  • Maintain accurate internal records and dashboards.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve issues quickly and meet SLAs.
  • Contribute to process automation and cross‑functional projects.
  • Investigate exceptions and coordinate resolutions
Requirements

Must‑Haves

  • Strong attention to detail and a process‑oriented mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, tech‑driven environment.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with CRMs or project‑tracking tools (Monday.com)
  • Exposure to payments, banking, compliance, or customer support.

Compensation:

  • $60,000–$75,000. Base salary ranges are determined by multiple factors unique to each candidate, including skills and local market benchmarks. We encourage you to apply if your expectations are outside this range.
