The main function of the party coordinator/attendant is to be responsible for assisting with the setup and coordination of daytime/evening events, as well as communication with parents and other staff to ensure members and guests have a positive experience.

- Able to observe and direct members and guests of all ages
- Able to build genuine relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
- Able to provide and create a welcoming atmosphere that is people centered and service oriented, standing and greeting members by name
- Be open, friendly and approachable to children and parents
Service Skills:
- Punctual, reliable, creative, and a self-starter
- Responsible for posting party signage, preparing designated space and communicating with waterpark staff about upcoming parties and day of communications with party guests
- Communicates with Aquatic Directors and aquatic staff of any party needs
- Present during party’s to obtain usage waivers and assist in checking in guests
- Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere
- Assists Aquatic Program Director in updating party calendar
- Provides excellent and genuine care for members and guests
- Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
- Ability to lead/assist organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities (if required)
Member Involvement Skills:
- Be knowledgeable about program areas and share information with members
- Be knowledgeable about the YMCA, its programs and policies
- Take specific actions to move members to more connected and committed relationships with the YMCA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting to 50lbs, bending, stooping, sitting on floor or in child sized chairs, diapering, assisting with toileting, climbing, reaching, running, carrying or holding a child up to 50lbs, and operating a computer are all required functions of the position. Spending time outdoors is also a requirement.
