The Role
Who We Are

About Stripe:
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the Team:
The Global Partner Engineering and Operations (PE&O) team is a critical component of Stripe’s broader Global Partnerships organization and a cornerstone of our success. We are responsible for managing the technical and operational aspects of new and existing strategic product partnerships and programs. Positioned at the intersection of product, engineering, and partnerships, we serve as a vital link that fosters seamless collaboration, which is essential for Stripe’s rapid growth trajectory.

The PE&O team comprises a hybrid mix of both technical and non-technical professionals focused on operational execution with financial ecosystem partners. We ensure smooth technical onboarding and implementation with partners while managing recurring KTLO (Keep-The-Lights-On) operations and monitoring stringent quality and performance targets. Our team drives partner-agnostic programs and initiatives to address broad ecosystem challenges and builds technical solutions and tools that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

As domain experts aligned with specific Stripe products (such as Stripe Payments, Stripe Tax, and Stripe Billing), Partner Solutions Engineers (PSE) play a key role in scoping new partner opportunities and recruiting new partners to adopt the latest Stripe platforms. Our dynamic and versatile team takes on a variety of responsibilities daily, including driving alignment and coordination among cross-functional teams and partners, analyzing insights and trends from our data to inform decision-making, and developing innovative tools and processes to scale our impact. The partnerships we cultivate are instrumental—they significantly influence Stripe’s ecosystem, and the products born from these collaborations touch millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaboration and Engagement:
    • Work closely with Partner Development Managers, Product Managers, sales, and partner teams to identify and technically scope complex product partner opportunities, ensuring effective deployment of new Stripe products.
    • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops tailored to specific partner and customer requirements, fostering a clear understanding of our solutions.
  • Technical Expertise and Integration:
    • Develop proof of concepts, create developer recommendations, and establish best practices to encourage the adoption of Stripe products among partners.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe’s products, leveraging your expertise to influence product roadmaps based on partner insights and drive revenue through these partnerships.
    • Collaborate with partners and customers to ensure seamless integration of our solutions into their existing systems, developing and documenting integration plans and deployment strategies.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partners and customers post-implementation, addressing technical inquiries and providing ongoing support.
    • Provide hands-on assistance during the implementation process, leading troubleshooting efforts, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Embed within core Product and Engineering teams to serve as the “Voice of the Partner,” driving product roadmap and feature request prioritization.
    • Foster communication and knowledge sharing across relevant teams to ensure alignment on partner and customer needs, contributing to product enhancements and overall partner satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Best Practices:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, integration manuals, and troubleshooting resources.
    • Share best practices and reusable tools, such as reference architectures, to enhance the efficiency and quality of partner engagements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to provide innovative solutions and insights.
    • Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements in partner engagement and integration workflows.
    • Prepare and present reports on partner engagement, success metrics, and areas for improvement to share with senior leadership.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a technical solutions role, partner engineering, or related fields, with proven experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., developer advocate, partner engineer, technical solutions engineer, or solutions architect).
  • Strong understanding of software solutions, APIs, integration technologies, and architecture patterns, and how various technologies interact with each other.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer and partner experiences.
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners.
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
  • Passion for learning about current and emerging technologies to develop innovative solutions for open-ended business problems.
