Responsible for strategic new business development with an individual revenue target. This individual would bring in partnership deals across existing brand partnerships portfolio.

Job Description

We are seeking a candidate with experience working as an account planner or director at an agency, a management consultant, or within an enterprise strategic new business team. Alternatively, you may be an experienced entrepreneur with these skills who is now looking to join an established business.

Regardless of your background, we will assess your proven curiosity, analytical skills, and results-driven approach. Demonstrating a track record in these areas will be essential.

You will be measured on effort, customer volume, customer value, and customer retention, including upsell opportunities.

This individual would be responsible for:

  • Generate revenue that meets/exceeds established individual sales target 

  • Initiate and develop new partnerships, execute strategic marketing plans, and deliver revenue across the brand partnerships' existing portfolio and new revenue stream programs developed

  • Responsible for nurture, needs analysis, storytelling, value selling, objection handling, presentation, and negotiation to win the client

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a plan that includes target identification, qualification, and approach for new partnership relationships.

  • You will be responsible for nurture, needs analysis, storytelling, DMU mapping, value selling, objection handling, presentation, and negotiation to win the client.

  • You will be responsible for account management, retention, and growth.

  • This includes Industry expertise, account planning and strategy, client stakeholder access, competition defense, complex opportunity management, creative solution selling, cross-selling, value co-creation, and forecasting.

  • Generate revenue that meets/exceeds established sales targets.

  • Creatively adapt and enhance existing products to provide programs that meet the customers' needs beautifully

  • Collaborate with internal experts in digital content, custom content, and operations to build a program that, whilst meeting the customer needs beautifully, is economical for TED and able to deliver at the required margins.

  • Provide regular customer pipeline updates to the team to accurately capture all sales activity

  • Provide regular interface with partners and involve  TED’s creative services team as part of the proposal build as well as the delivery.

  • You will be responsible for delivering flawless partner experiences and obtaining the highest level of customer satisfaction 

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and experience in building an understanding of client landscapes and goals and providing solutions to address them.

  • Experience in building and maintaining a full pipeline of sales prospects, ensuring the management and fulfillment of strategic targets

  • Effective communication skills, verbally, in writing, and in presentations. You will be a thinking storyteller

  • Self-starter and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous team environment.

  • Well regarded in the marketplace with a network of contacts among relevant potential partners

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, and Keynote is helpful but easily taught.

Additional Information

Salary Range: 140-160k  USD + commission, commensurate with experience.

NYC location is preferred but not required. Ideally, 2 days a week in the office, with occasional travel (twice to the office and several times to other events).
