The Team You'll Join

Decanter is the world's premier wine media brand, known for authoritative content, inspirational events, and the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA). Based in our London office on a hybrid basis, our team connects global wine producers, industry experts, and fine wine enthusiasts. We host the world's largest wine competition and deliver premium digital subscriber experiences across international markets. You'll join a collaborative commercial team that builds valuable global partnerships to expand DWWA entries and Decanter Premium subscriptions.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Awards in London, you'll formalise and scale revenue-generating partnerships across our flagship properties, including DWWA and Decanter Premium. You'll establish non-paid service-exchange partnerships with global regional wine bodies to grow DWWA entrant numbers. In this role, you'll also unlock B2B2C distribution channels to accelerate Decanter Premium subscription growth.

On a daily basis, you'll identify prospective partners, build tailored commercial proposals, and negotiate mutually beneficial terms. You'll partner closely with internal Marketing, Logistics, and Subscriptions teams to activate promotional packages across digital, print, and event channels. Additionally, you'll use CRM software, pipeline tracking tools, and analytics to monitor entry volume and partnership performance.

  • Identify, pitch, and establish promotional partnerships with regional wine trade boards and export consortia to expand DWWA entries.
  • Collaborate with internal Marketing and Logistics teams to build operationally sound, marketable partnership packages.
  • Build cross-sector distribution partnerships with luxury travel, hospitality, and financial services brands to grow Decanter Premium subscriptions.
  • Structure value-exchange agreements and exclusive member offers that deliver mutual benefits without requiring direct cash budgets.
  • Oversee partnership activation across digital, print, and event channels to ensure seamless delivery for wineries and brand partners.
  • Track partnership performance metrics, entry volumes, and subscription ROI using pipeline management software and regular stakeholder reporting.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable experience in account management, commercial partnerships, or business development within media, publishing, or luxury sectors.
  • Understanding of how strategic brand alliances and promotional partnerships can be used as effective audience acquisition channels.
  • Familiarity with global wine regions, trade export associations, or the broader wine and hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to build positive relationships with senior industry partners.
  • Organised approach to pipeline management, contract administration, and performance tracking using CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of subscription marketing, cross-promotional retail campaigns, or international trade engagement is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

  • Commercial partnership, account management, or marketing experience delivering collaborative growth initiatives.
  • Practical experience managing pipelines, structuring agreements, or working with CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively from our London office on a hybrid basis.

What we offer

  • Uncapped leave
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Discounted rates with Dental care and Private Medical care
  • When we hit our targets, enjoy a share of our profits with a bonus
  • Refer a friend scheme - with payment following the successful hire.
  • Well-being support with access to our Colleague Assistant Programmes
  • Opportunity to purchase shares in Future, with our Share Incentive Plan
  • Salary sacrifice Pension scheme up to 5% match
  • Free drinks and snacks in our offices

The expected range for this role is £40,000 - £50,000

This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from our London Office
